Grimes calls out Elon Musk over child’s medical crisis: A plea for urgent attention

Singer Grimes publicly urged Elon Musk to address their child's undisclosed medical crisis, lamenting his lack of response to texts, calls, and emails. She indicated the issue could cause lifelong impairment if not addressed immediately. Grimes and Musk share three young children, and Musk’s absence from their lives has previously been criticized by the artist.
In a series of since-deleted posts on X, singer-songwriter Grimes publicly urged Elon Musk to address what she described as their child’s “medical crisis.” The 36-year-old musician, whose real name is Claire Boucher, took to social media on February 20, pleading with the billionaire tech mogul to respond immediately.
“Plz respond about our child's medical crisis,” Grimes wrote in an emotional post. “I am sorry to do this publicly, but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention.”
The details of the medical crisis remain undisclosed, but Grimes’ desperate plea indicates the severity of the situation. The artist and Musk, 53, share three children—X Æ A-Xii, 4, Exa Dark Sideræl, 3, and Techno Mechanicus, 2. It is unclear which child she was referring to in her messages.
Her frustration mounted as she continued posting: “If you don't want to talk to me, can you please designate or hire someone who can so that we can move forward on solving this? This is urgent, Elon.”
Grimes later responded to an X user who suggested that airing the issue publicly might not be the best approach. In response, she explained that she had exhausted all other means of communication. “I’m not giving any details, but he won’t respond to texts, calls, or emails and has skipped every meeting. Our child will suffer lifelong impairment if he doesn’t respond ASAP. So I need him to f------ respond, and if I have to apply public pressure, then I guess that's where we're at.”
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO has yet to make any public statement regarding Grimes’ accusations. A source close to the situation commented, “Instead of being present in his children’s lives, he’d rather tweet memes.”
This is not the first time Grimes has criticized Musk publicly. Earlier this month, she expressed her discontent upon discovering through a random X user that Musk had taken their son, X Æ A-Xii, to the Oval Office. “He should not be in public like this,” she wrote. “I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I'm glad he was polite. Sigh.”
Grimes’ latest posts also come amid recent reports that Musk has fathered his 13th child with author Ashley St. Clair, who revealed the news just last week.
Neither Musk nor his representatives have responded to Grimes’ allegations. As the situation unfolds, the public awaits further developments on this deeply personal and concerning matter.
